So with that said, we would like to thank you for 2011. We had a blast. Together (you…the person reading this and me) we saw people fall down on stage, make azzes of themselves, drink too much, and that was just the guys in the band! The crowd was perfect.

Our next show is February 25th at FUEL in Overland Parker, Kansas. We need a party crew to show up, rock the house, and show FUEL that just because you are old, does not mean you can’t have a good time. Can you dance on tables? Do your boobs hang low? Do they waddle to and fro? Stop acting like you are dead and get out and live!

FUEL…February 25th. 9pm. Bring your alter ego, a pac’a smokes, and a picture of James Dean.

The Motionless Rocker

12/2 we are playing at FUEL from 10pm to 1:30am. Although we aren’t sure whose idea it was (Cami Bernal)…somebody said (CB) “Let’s have a Pogo’s reunion at FUEL!” and so the planning commenced. We never really got past the date, the time, and the simple instruction to come to the show in a way that reminds you of one of the greatest bars in Kansas City’s history, Pogo’s. The other point of the night is to come early enough to see people you knew, hang out, talk Pogo’s, think about lighted floors, red carpet, people sleeping on red carpet, a little bit of puke on red carpet, beer on red carpet, long lines, and people up in high places like the guy at the door who stamped your hand in the glass window or the DJ who spun your tunes and looked down your shirt. This party is only for the people who were patrons, people who were never patrons, people who worked there, people who didn’t work there, people who were past owners, people who weren’t past owners, people who were never there but wanted to be there, people who disco danced, people who didn’t, people who dug the 70′s, people who dug the 80′s, people who liked 3.2 beer, and for those folks who thought the Sugar Hill Gang was great music…this night is for you. Come join us.

12/16 we are playing at The Well from 9:30pm to 1am. This will be our last show for a while so come hang out! I am hoping this will be a blow out with overtime happening on the tambourines, the Shake Weight, and Mike’s new Tug Toner. If you have never seen it, or…if you have a prepubescent bring them out for a night of instruction on how to “do it” alone. The Well is at 74th and Wornall come end the year with us…

Ocotober 8th we are playing at Fuel an American Made Bar & Grill in Overland Park, KS. The last time we played there it was July 3rd, 2008 and there was a girl who kept putting things down her pants. We could barely keep a straight face. The world can only hope she will be present again. I might just pee my pants if she puts on a performance like she did in 2008. So come on out to Fuel on October 8th to see if the motionless rocker can keep still as the urine drains from his shoes! We are pumped to be playing Fuel again.  Come hang out!  We pee from 10pm to 1:30am.

October 22nd we are playing at The Well in Waldo. The Well is that place with the cool rooftop where people go to escape the live music. I don’t recommend escape when we play there because the awesomeness of our music has been known to make men better looking, women bustier, acne miraculously disappear from the faces of adolescents, dogs stop humping each other, old ladies to say the “F” word, and the untrusting to finally trust their flatulence.   Drink, be merry, and celebrate as we’ll have a taped off “No Shart” zone so you can let the stress leave your backside as you come down to The Well for a silent but deadly time. We play from 9pm to 1am.

So…October will be fuel of chances to come down, hang out, have a beer, enjoy some tunes, a tasty wave, a cool breeze…and I was thinking…since you’re there and I’m there…isn’t it OUR time? You know how cute I always thought you were…

So put September 24th on your calendar. 8:30pm to 10pm. Wear silk…probably an ascot or a bow tie. Brush up on your wine knowledge, primary colors, and just so you aren’t embarrassed when you get into one of those conversations with an artsy person…yellow and green makes blue…yellow and green makes blue…yellow and green makes blue.

PC @ Power & Light

On August 5th, Perpetual Change will be at Power & Light on the main stage to rock the night away with anyone bold enough to come down, divy up the $2 for parking, and cinch up your baggie pants so your crack doesn’t show when you bend over.  But cracks might be cool on the planet Butcrackia but they really aren’t that cool at P&L.  They are really crackin (worked it into back to back sentences) down on clothing infractions so make sure to keep your hats at home, your shorts at a reasonable length, and don’t wear anything that could be construed as cool.  Think Revenge of the Nerds.

Mark your calendars, check to make sure you have all your body parts, and tuck in your love handles so you’re ready to enjoy the greatest night of the year (okay might be a stretch again).

Riverside, Missouri.  Event parking will be in designated areas around the festivities and the Riverside City Hall parking lot.

Bring a quarter and wear clean underwear.  Dave Sanders is going to de-pants you at some point during the night and you will need that quarter for a ride home…
